Marc Scibelli
Hello, I’m Marc Scibelli a product design leader with deep experience building platforms and products for some of the most complex, high-stakes environments in enterprise software: security, AI, and cloud infrastructure.I’ve led teams through zero-to-one launches, major enterprise re-platforming efforts, and the introduction of AI into core product experiences. It's clear Veeam sits at a pivotal moment, as data protection becomes not just a backup issue, but a user trust and business continuity issue. That shift demands a design function that can align with engineering teams, product owners, and leadership, while delivering clarity to customers facing enormous pressure to get it right. This is where I operate best.

Leadership Style
I work closely with PMs and engineers from the start, not just during handoff. I bring design thinking into roadmap planning, tradeoff conversations, and prioritization so we’re solving the right problems, not just shipping pretty features.
I lead teams with clear frameworks for performance, accountability, and growth. Everyone should know what good looks like, how to get there, and how their work ties to outcomes that matter.
I regularly present new ideas to executives and boards, translating complex product and design decisions into clear, actionable narratives. I’ve led strategy reviews, secured funding, and aligned cross-functional stakeholders. I build trust, show value early, and help move design from execution to impact.
To me, good design leadership isn’t about personal taste. It’s about creating the conditions for teams to make smart, informed decisions. At the same time, I know when to step in, to advocate for new ways of working, challenge assumptions, and shift how design is seen.

What I would bring to the VP Product Design role:
Deep Experience in Complex Enterprise Software:
I’ve led design in areas where trust, usability, and operational clarity are critical. From secure AI platforms at Cisco to full-stack enterprise systems at Infor.
At Cisco, I create AI-powered products in cloud security, observability, and agent-based workflows. These systems require tight coordination across PM, engineering, and security, and serve users operating under real-time pressure.
At Infor, I built and scaled a 120-person team that redesigned 40+ enterprise applications. We introduced a unified design system across a fragmented product portfolio, simplified onboarding flows, and helped drive over $800M in SaaS revenue growth.
I also launched Infor’s internal Product Incubation Garage, which boosted enterprise win rates above 95% by aligning emerging tools with market needs and customer feedback.
Clarity at Scale
I bring structure to fragmented portfolios and unify product experiences without slowing teams down.
Infor: Built and implemented a global design system spanning dozens of products and acquisitions. Reduced friction, improved onboarding, and made the UX a differentiator in an otherwise commoditized space.
Cisco Panoptica: Helped merge two cloud security products into a single CNAPP platform. Early design involvement ensured faster alignment, less rework, and a clear user path through a complex set of capabilities.
Outshift: Developed performance and skills frameworks for design that tied individual growth directly to business outcomes, improving alignment across PM, engineering, and executive leadership.
Design That Builds Trust
For Veeam in a domain like data protection and management, trust isn’t just about features, it’s about how clearly you communicate intent, action, and control, something I have deep experience with.
Qonsent: Co-founded a consumer privacy platform focused on user control and transparency. Led product and design strategy and created the investor story that secured $5M in funding.
Agentic Display Interface: Designed a framework and SDK to make agent behavior predictable and recoverable for enterprise users. Applied HAX principles to build trust and mitigate risk in AI-driven systems.
Cisco AI & Lens: Created a patented UI for agent-based collaboration and task management inside Cisco’s AI portfolio, introducing new patterns for explainability, precision targeting, and operator confidence.
Always Driving Change Through Influence and Design
In every role I’ve held, design wasn’t just handed a seat at the table, we had to earn it. I’ve consistently worked to shift how design is seen inside the organization: from a service function to a strategic driver.
At Infor, design was initially treated as just something you add at the end of the build cycle.
I changed that by embedding design early in the product process, hiring and developing a 120-person team, and implementing systems that aligned design outcomes with business goals. This shift helped drive $800M in SaaS revenue, simplify onboarding across 40+ enterprise products, and increase new business win rates to over 95% through a design-led product incubation program. At Outshift by Cisco, I joined a fast-moving innovation team where speed often overruled structure.
I helped reestablish design as a critical part of product development, not by slowing things down, but by bringing clarity to what we were actually solving. I introduced an evidence-based design discovery process, built stronger alignment with product and engineering leadership, and contributed directly to outcomes like a 30% lift in PLG leads, improved funnel conversion, and more usable AI-driven tools.
This kind of change doesn’t happen by mandate.
It happens through listening, building trust, and showing results. I focus on aligning stakeholders, understanding their incentives, and delivering clarity through design.
